Now we're looking to reinforce our team with people who are decisive, brilliant and built for speed.The  Pharmacy Technicianis responsible for answering incoming calls/completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.Positions in this function perform various duties related
to the fulfillment of prescription orders. Interprets physicians'
prescriptions and creates order, accesses, inputs, and retrieves
prescription information from computer system, verifies whether order is
reimbursable. Dispenses any or all of the following: unit doses,
specialty pharmaceuticals and injectibles; may compound medications.
Consults with customers, patients and/or physicians regarding use of
medications and potential drug interactions. Consultations may be
telephonic or in person. Reviews and approves/denies requests for
prescription prior authorizations. Pharmacists must have a current
license without restrictions and Pharmacy Technicians must have current
state license or national certification without restrictions based on
regulatory requirements of worksite.Primary Responsibilities:Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate informationContacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues Processing prescriptions (from intake to order completion) Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is providedConstantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record Roles of the technician include maintaining an accurate pharmacy inventory, cleaning and maintaining a sterile compounding environment per USP 797 standards, compounding sterile intravenous medications, participating in an on call rotation, preparing monthly pharmacy reports, and other tasks as assigned by manager.Moderate work experience within own function.Some work is completed without established procedures.Basic tasks are completed without review by others.Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.

Requirements:

HS Diploma/GEDAbility to work hours of
operation (hours primarily worked will be 9:30am – 6:00pm M-F)Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida or will be licensed by the time this
position starts



Preferred:

1+ year of sterile
compounding experience
