The primary job function of the Adjustment Specialist is to process adjustments/corrections to bills in the billing software. These may be in the form of charge adjustments to correct date of service, facility, time, unit charges, plans, physicians, diagnosis, and units of service. Other adjustments will include posting unapplied monies as directed by Biller/Collector, correction of contractual adjustments, refunds, write offs, and system error corrections. All corrections can be generated by either the Corporate Staff or Office Staff and must be approved by either the Supervisor or Office Administrator.
