* Is there a chance for conversion to a full time Alere Employee? - Absolutely. Work Environment: When not traveling, employee is expected to work with colleagues on various projects. Team and collegial atmosphere is prevalent in relaxed laboratory. Employee will have exposure to HEIA testing and will learn as appropriate. Qualifications: Skills/Experience
* What are the 3-5 MUST HAVES the candidates need to have for this assignment?
1. Experience with automated liquid handlers (Tecan preferred), knowledge of ELISA theory, and at least 5 years of experience with ELISA
2. Experience in a laboratory setting (high throughput lab preferred)
3. B.S. in biology, chemistry, or related fields Performance Expectations: * Will this person be working directly with blood or other biological fluids? - They may work with blood on rare occasion. Not likely in the first several months. Urine will be the most common matrix.
* What is the radius this person will be travelling? - It will be the contiguous U.S. only.
Job Description
* Please explain the candidates day to day. - When traveling, every day is so different when traveling to various customer sites; I cannot provide a day to day description. Generally, one would expect to perform verification on equipment to ensure analyzer is fully operational. Employee would install equipment, then run calibration and quality controls to ensure adequate operation. When in Pomona, candidate will lead a team to meet department objectives with various projects.
* What are the hours/shifts for this role? - Generally 8am-5pm, but occasional need to work 2nd shift to accommodate customer scheduling. Travel schedule will vary.
We are now looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in a lead/supervisory role.
