The Optum Data Management (ODM) Business Engagement team is seeking a highly motivated individual that is interested in taking the next step on their career path. We are looking for an individual to step into a critical business engagement role. This role requires excellent knowledge of Healthcare domain, including experience with healthcare data warehousing and analytics capabilities, and requires exceptional customer communication & presentation skills. This role requires a strong Business Analyst that also has expert project management skills. Candidates must enjoy working in an evolving, fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
 
 
The Project Manager Business Analyst is ODM's first line of contact with our UHC and Optum business partners.
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Collaborating with internal partners to usher a project through the engagement process including:


Overview of business need

Confirmation of solution feasibility

Coordination of project estimates across multiple delivery groups

Creation / documentation of Statement of Work (SOW) and other key engagement artifacts

Meeting with partner customers to define, understand, and document project requirements

Partner with architecture teams to ensure that the high level solution aligns with the business requirements

Identifying and documenting design considerations, assumptions, and dependencies

Identifying risks and working with ODM and business partners to mitigate those risks

Regular communication with business partners; act as a liaison between internal customers and ODM technical teams during the engagement phase of a project

Coordinate tasks and tight timelines across multiple teams leading to timely engagement delivery

Ability to multi-task and handle several engagement projects concurrently

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in computer, healthcare, or business, or equivalent work experience

5+ years of US Healthcare IT experience working in a large, complex, organization with healthcare data warehouses, data analytics, reporting, and systems

Excellent written and verbal skills, including 5+ years of experience with customer communications, requirements gathering via formal sessions (e.g., JADs), presentation of RFPs or requirements documents, PowerPoint presentations, and extensive meeting facilitation

Subject matter expertise in the Healthcare Industry and related data; well-versed and current on industry trends and priorities

Excellent customer relationship skills and customer focus orientation
Preferred Qualifications:


Experience working in or with Optum Data Management teams

Exposure across multiple types of healthcare entities - e.g., payer, provider, population management, pharmacy
