We have an opportunity for a senior level Business Consultant to work with UHC and our Medicare STARS program in the West Region. This role is based in the Phoenix office with occasional work from home opportunities. It will require business travel up to 20% of your work week, generally in the Phoenix area. In this role, you will be empowered to support short and long term operational / strategic business activities; develop, enhance and maintain operational information and models that will have an impact on business decisions. In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to take the contributions of analysts and create valuable solutions to improve the health care system. We need a true Analyst, you will provide consultation and guidance to assigned groups, to improve quality with focus on STARs measures including HEDIS, Part D, and CAHPS / HOS.  Join us! Primary Responsibilities:


Analyze, review, forecast, and trend complex data

Review the analysis and interpretation of others work

Oversee ad - hoc client and operational reports developed and presented by others

Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning

Support short and long term operational / strategic business activities through analysis

Develop and implement effective / strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


3+ years of experience in business analysis

1+ years working with STAR ratings and analytics in Medicare programs

Experience reporting and developing presentations for senior level personnel or internal and external leaders of key organizations as it relates to STARS

Experience gathering and documenting requirements from the client or business

Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes

Intermediate or greater level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Able and willing to travel for up to 20% of your work schedule
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
Intermediate level of proficiency with Access and PowerPoint
