As a Clinical Pharmacist you will perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. While your work will use a variety of media, you'll have a direct impact on the lives of our members. You will consult with members and physicians regarding medications and overall wellness. Primary Responsibilities:

Provide clinical support for Front End Pharmacy operations in specialty pharmacy
Reviews and approves / denies requests for prescription prior authorizations
Oversee the activities of pharmacy technicians and customer service advocates
Organize workload, set priorities, complete assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards
Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
Conform with and support department quality assurance and improvement guidelines

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Pharmacist license in good standing in state of Texas
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
1+ years of experience as a Pharmacist
Ability to conduct Internet searches
Must be able to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Preferred Qualifications:

Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and / or Managed Care experience
Prior Authorization experience
Call Center experience
Specialty Pharmacy experience
Proficient in MS Office and a Windows based environment, including Word and Outlook
Ability to effectively communicate to patients and health care providers using multiple forms of media
