Responsibilities
  • Implement and manage domestic and international distribution strategy to facilitate Raising Cane's growth plans
  • Continually monitor and align distribution model to meet Raising Cane's dynamic growth to maximize freight efficiencies while providing superior support to operations
  • Support the development, testing, and implementation processes for existing and new products allowing for proper collaboration between supply chain, Ops, R&D, and marketing to ensure the highest quality are delivered to our restaurants in a timely manner
  • Monitor industry news and make recommendations for new technologies that will continually enhance Raising Cane's distribution functions
  • Continually analyze supplier FOB points and all freight lanes to identify the most opportune time to add production facilities and/or take control of Raising Cane's freight lanes to lower inbound freight costs
  • Constant benchmarking on all distributors, freight carriers, and Re-D's to the most competitive freight rates while delivering the freshest products possible to our restaurants
  • Support a growing franchise community in all distribution functions both domestic and international
  • Provide guidance to Raising Cane's senior management on distribution threats relative to safety and / or market instrability or any other issues that may compromise the company's ability to meet its strategic objectives
  • Strategically hire and align all distribution and logistics positions to ensure proper execution of strategy objectives and company initiatives
  • Enhance forecasting tools to deliver accurate forecasts to all distributors and suppliers on a timely basis to ensure they are prepared to meet Raising Cane's changing needs
  • Develop a distribution team that has zero tolerance rules to day to day distribution issues such as; late trucks, missing items, inaccurate prices, damaged product, etc, without proper resolution and solutions to ensure these issues are not repeated
Qualifications
  • BS Degree in a field requiring strong analytical skills, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • International experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a high growth / fast paced environment where leaders are expected to "roll up their sleeves"
  • Strong analytical skills - must be able to take a complex set of variables and deliver solutions that achieve the desired business result
  • Project Management Skills - accurately develop project parameters, perform and manage project tasks and key deliverables all while choreographing the work of cross-functional team members
  • Software Skills - advanced knowledge of MS Office based systems including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Must be able to prepare complex presentations using PowerPoint or similar softwar
