JOB SUMMARY:  Assumes responsibility for local level marketing and soliciting catering sales for Papa Gino’s and D’Angelo restaurants. Ideal candidates will be creative, have strong interpersonal skills, be hands-on, organized, and goal oriented. Successful candidates will be comfortable with cold calling and working independently on a daily basis as well as have an interest in catering sales and marketing.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Generates catering sales by producing new clients through traditional and non-traditional sales methods.
  • Solicits businesses to create brand awareness and catering offerings.
  • Communicates with Area Managers and initiates strategies to increase sales in restaurants.
  • Works with Local Restaurant Marketing Manager to develop LRM plans for individual locations and execute against them.
  • Understand each restaurant’s trade area in order to realize LRM opportunities and cross promotions.
  • Creates and delivers professional sales and marketing presentations to prospective clients.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Keeps abreast of local market conditions including promotional trends and competitor activities.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the confidence to interact professionally with internal team members, businesses, and clients.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and must possess the ability to work independently.
  • Skill in using a personal computer which includes knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in sales or marketing (or educational equivalence).
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and the ability to travel to restaurants within a district.
  • Ability to work an occasional weekend day.
  • Restaurant or catering background is a plus.
  • H.S. Diploma

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to remain in a seated position for sustained periods of time.
  • Ability to move freely about the test kitchen and restaurant work stations.
  • Must be able to travel to all company or franchise restaurants and existing or new client locations.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stretch, and stand for periods of up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift or carry 20 pounds.
