The Restaurant Manager of Park&Oak Restaurant provides leadership and motivation to ensure that all team members are guest-focused, team-focused, and community-connected. The Manager will exercise knowledge of restaurant operations, manage staff resources, provide counsel, develop and coach staff and improve sales, profits and operating standards.

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Accomplishes restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Establishes restaurant steps of service, demonstrates, trains, reviews and holds accountability of steps.
  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining improvements and implementing change.
  • Will report directly to owner(s) on a daily basis.
  • Meets restaurant financial objectives by controlling labor and food and beverage costs.
  • Focuses on customer experience from time they walk in to the time they leave. Manager will try to speak to every table, every service to provide excellent customer relations
  • Maintains operations by following established policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing disaster plans; maintaining security and sprinkler systems; maintaining parking lot and walkways. When scheduled, complete the store safety inspection.
  • Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, and the standard Park&Oak steps of service, which will be followed by all servers and managers at all times
  • Continually improves job knowledge by participating in manager meetings, educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
