Overview
This role helps develop custom learning solutions that are targeted towards over 200,000 learners across the Wendy's system. We are looking for learning and development professionals who can help us create state-of-the-art, technology-based solutions that use a blend of eLearning, instructor-led content, and other real-time performance support aids.
Specific Responsibilities Include
  • Partner with internal training team and internal customers (field training and functional leads) to validate needs, target audience, requirements, deliverables, and design methodology.
  • Manage custom learning solution projects, including defining scope, resources and key milestones.
  • Develop web-based training and assessments, web-based training audio/video simulations, storyboards, Job Aids, User Guides, software user manuals, hardware manuals, system documentation, online help, and process flows.
  • Experience developing blended (both instructor-led and technology-based content) learning curriculum within learning management systems.
  • Third-party learning and development vendor management.

This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH. The Wendy's Company is the world's second largest quick-service hamburger company. Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related field is required (Master's degree in instructional Design or related field preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing custom learning solutions for diverse target audiences
  • Advanced expertise with multiple eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner effectively with leaders of all levels
  • Advanced technical writing skills and general business communication skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience developing blended (both instructor-led and technology-based content) learning curriculum within learning management systems
  • One year experience in learning and development working directly (not as an outside consultant) inside a Fortune 1000, private sector organization
  • Experience developing video-based learning content
  • Experience developing mobile-based learning content
