I. Job Summary
The loader interacts with the customer by greeting and assisting them in the garden center of our operation and, once load is complete, thanking them for their business. This is a highly-visible position and is most important the individual is personable, friendly, and courteous at all times. Lawn and garden material knowledge is preferred but not required. Heavy loading, stacking, cleaning and assisting with unloading/loading of Lawn & Garden Items.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
A. Must be familiar and in compliance with Stine Policies and Procedures.
B. Handle heavy and bulky building materials and safely load customers’ vehicles.
C. Assist in deliveries as needed.
D. Help receiving unload any trucks that have to be hand-unloaded (ex.: soil & mulch trucks, block & rock trucks, live good trucks , etc.)
E. Maintain loading area throughout garden center & store front.
F. Pick up pallets banding, trash, and sweep, cut grass, etc.
G. Help stock inside store with merchandise received from out back.
H. Maintain area assigned by Garden Center Department manager.

A. Education: Basic education which includes ability to competently read and write.
B. Training and Experience: No training or experience is required but must have writing and reading skills.
C. Job Knowledge: Lawn & Garden material knowledge is preferred.
D. Physical Demands: Work requires much physical effort; involves little sitting, standing, walking, and some heavy lifting on a regular basis. Works in a non-air-conditioned environment. (Important: This job is classified in the physical demands section of the job description [Form IV-31] as constant heavy work and occasional extra heavy work. This form must be reviewed with and signed by the applicant.)
