Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.SM The Collections Coordinator is responsible for account reconciliation, account management and research Handling of unresolved inquiries/issues, and responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing organization policies on collection practices. May work with outside legal counsel and/or outside agencies in more complex collection cases.
This function is responsible for insurance premium collections. Positions in this function contact customers to determine reason for payment delinquency. Negotiate and advise on collection of overdue bills and take appropriate action to recover overdue payments. Handles unresolved inquiries/issues. Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and managing organization policies on collection practices. May work with outside legal counsel and/or outside agencies in more complex collection cases.
Primary Responsibilities:

Contact clients, patients or insurance carriers with past due accounts for payer      information
Use of internet for research on clients and insurance carriers
Prepare various reports and payment plans
Recommend accounts to be placed with agency
Maintain resolution and call records and other documentation
Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned/as needed

Requirements

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of customer service experience
1+ years of billing and/or collections experience
MS Excel experience(creating and editing spreadsheets, data entry)
Medical Terminology knowledge
Assets:

1+ years of medical/healthcare collections experience
