As a Production Support Lead, you will be part of our IT Operations Team supporting several Priority 1and 2 critical business applications including internal and external facing applications. You'll stretch your skills and grow your career in this fast moving role where you will be responsible for application availability and stability, coordinating work efforts with offshore teams, managing infrastructure upgrade projects, identifying and implementing process improvements, and working on high priority customer issues. This is a unique role where your efforts will make a positive impact on our members and business customers.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor the environment health, and drive improvements to enhance availability and performance
Utilize strong technical aptitude on a daily basis with experience in SFTP, Batch Execution (TWS), Oracle / SQL Databases, UNIX / Linux Operating systems, Service Based Architecture, Monitoring
Identify and remediate failed batch and real-time processing events
Manage Critical incident call support (24x7)
Drive technical team members to restore services in a expedited manner
Take a lead role in technical problem solving
Demonstrate a strong understanding of issues, including in-depth technical analysis, troubleshooting, analyzing, root cause and engaging appropriate SMEs as needed to drive incident and problem management
Ensure overall organizational support goals are met (i.e. SLA, incident / problem reduction, application availability)
Coordinate root cause analysis efforts for permanent resolution on all incidents
Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies
Ensure support readiness prior to the deployment of any change to the production environment
Customer service orientation is a key to success - on a daily basis, you will collaborate with internal business partners, engineering teams and other technology professionals
Create and share technical knowledge documentation
Provide release support for code deployments
Ability to adjust both written and oral communications to a variety of different audiences
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Mentor junior team members - providing training and technical direction as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of experience supporting relational databases
4+ years of technical applications support preferably in a hosted services environment
2+ years of experience with UNIX based operating systems
Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills
ITIL experience including incident, change and problem management
Technical leadership, with a track record of driving shortened issue restoration and problem resolution over time
Ability to anticipate and drive change
Possess strong technical aptitude, and ability to quickly learn/adopt new processes and technologies
Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of healthcare, healthcare payer services, related terminology, and process flows
Knowledge of data integration tools
Project management experience (technical)
Experience with UNIX and Shell Scripting
Knowledge of XML, SOAP and WSDL
Knowledge of SVN or any other source code control systems
Knowledge of ServiceNow, or similar tool
Experience with WebSphere
Experience with Java / J2EE / JSP / JSF development
Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology
Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
