Assistant Repair Technician

Associates selected for the position will be repairing set-top boxes by soldering, fixing and replacing small parts. Light mechanical skills a plus.

Job Duties:

• Associates will work with several different models of the set-top boxes. Associates will initially work and train in one area and then quickly trained on other functions/models.

• Individuals must be able to solder, read schematics, troubleshoot and repair down to the individual component level.

• Other equipment used by the Repair Technicians include:
  • An oscilloscope (often abbreviated an O-scope);
  • A spectrometer (spectrograph or spectroscope);
  • heat gun (or a soldering iron).

• Must be able to change individual components that are faulty

• Repairs will be evaluated by Quality Control Technicians 

Job Requirements:

• Previous soldering experience
• Ability and previous experience reading/understanding/comprehending schematics is a plus.
• Ability and manual dexterity to work with small parts
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a fast paced production/assembly/electronic/warehouse environment
• Ability to lift, bend, twist throughout shift
• Capable of standing / walking entire shift
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

Work Schedules:

• 3:00pm - 11:30pm 
• 11:30pm - 7:00am 

Hourly Rate:

• 2nd Shift - $13.50/hr.
• 3rd Shift (0vernight) - $14.00/hr.
