In this role you will be responsible for leading and organizing information to supply to our external auditors, NCQA and CMS with necessary information as part of the audit and compliance process. You will be leading all audit aspects from Kickoff through final NCQA submission across multiple operational areas and business segments to achieve key business goals and compliance requirements. Individual will support internal HEDIS operational teams, where experience will be leveraged to drive strategy and enhance outcomes.
To achieve short and long term strategic goals and operational efficiencies, the HEDIS Roadmap Auditor will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure information from business segments is submitted accurately and timely, and functions within the established model. The HEDIS Roadmap Auditor oversees all phases of the audit process. Monitors performance and results, working with cross functional teams to address gaps in performance. Audit projects range in size, complexity and time.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Audit Focused: Lead the organization and submission of key HEDIS audit documentation including RFI, HEDIS Roadmaps and IDSS submissions. Coordinate onsite audits; ensure appropriate participation from UHG team members and with external auditors. Collaborate with internal teams to establish necessary procedural workflows that comply with external standards and specifications. Build relationships with business partners to obtain critical information necessary for external submissions. Work closely with external audit teams to respond to questions and obtain critical information for work teams.
Compliance-Focused: Work with stakeholders to minimize compliance risks. Collaborate to identify and improve processes to reduce risk. Lead crucial conversations and keep stakeholders engaged and focused on targeted outcomes.
Program Management: Provide support to leadership to enable successful business operations including program risk identification and remediation; drive process improvement and standardization through collaboration with impacted business partners. In this support role, the HEDIS Roadmap Auditor will need to be agile to manage multiple demands and competing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment to meet business goals, accreditation standards and Stars ratings. To achieve results, traditional and creative project, product and program management methodologies will need to be employed.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

1 year HEDIS experience —including familiarity with measurement methodologies, chart collection strategies and data sources   
Healthcare industry experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience. Master's degree is preferred.
4+ years of business project management experience, with demonstrated experience managing complex, large scale, multi-year, end to end projects.
4+ years of experience in business process improvement projects including process solutions and end to end process documentation.
Proven ability to influence course of action with diplomacy and tact when others are directly accountable for outcomes.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a matrix environment, strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Intermediate level of proficiency with Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint required.
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely; interface and present to leadership effectively
Exhibits creative problem solving skills, adapting approach as needed for each engagement
Communicate effectively and persuasively, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Build trust and form effective relationships with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:  

Master's degree
Facilitation training or certification
Experience working on a virtual team
Facilitation training or certification
