About this job
PrideStaff's Sacramento East office is working with a client in filling an opening as a diesel mechanic. Prior experience with diesel mechanics, a great attitude, reliability and dependability are key attributes.
General skills and requirements include, but are not limited to: -Troubleshoot, diagnose, disassemble, inspect, repair and rebuild products.
-Service, adjust and perform maintenance procedures both in house and in the field
-Remove and reinstall products in acceptable standard repair hours.
-Inspect engines to diagnose functionality, defects, or damage using special tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
-Complete written reports on jobs including labor, parts, cause and corrections, repair stories, and travel details.
-Follow all established safety procedures.
-Communicate to management ideas for improving working conditions, productivity, safety, and profitability.
- Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor

-Team player.
Qualifications:
-Ability to use computer and learn multiple programs.
-Diesel industry knowledge required.
-Diesel engine assembly experience preferred.
-Ability to use workshop manuals.
-Ability to communicate effectively and take direction.
-Building of reman diesel experience preferred.
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
-Valid driver's license and must be insurable.
