The Patient Services Representatives is responsible for scheduling patients to be seen by the PSU, coordinating schedules with PCP offices, tracking call disposition and validating correct information while ensuring a professional and courteous environment in supporting physician offices and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
Answers phones and makes outbound calls to schedule screening appointments for patients at their PCP office with the PSU staff
Interacts with patients and providers via phone and provides accurate, timely and responsive information about the mobile team processes
Arranges transportation to and from health screening clinics
Ensures efficient telephone communication with patients and providers
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to priority situations by transferring calls to provider, supervisor, or mobile team staff
Establish and maintains effective working relationships with physicians, staff and other departments
Follows written protocols and procedures of mobile team
Documents work processes effectively and as required by procedure
Demonstrates courtesy and willingness to assist towards patients and their families
Performs all other related duties as assigned

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED
One to two years of related work experience including data entry
Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology
Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems
Effective communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
Bi-lingual
If the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
