Description

Line Manager
The Line Production Manager has overall responsibility of manufacturing lines for a continuous shift operation. The Line Manager organizes and directs all related departmental activities through direct reports supervising each shift. The Line Manager will be responsible for management to include continuous improvement activities, planning, capital expenditures and reporting as required. The Line Manager will be a site champion for Lean Six Sigma processes. This position is accountable for delivering the established site goals for quality, productivity, budgetary and environmental, health and safety compliance.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the safety of the work force.
  2. Manage Safety, Maintenance, Quality and Sanitation programs for manufacturing lines.
  3. Ensures the timely execution of the production schedule through management practices.
  4. Champion continuous improvement activities in production to include Lean Six Sigma Activities.
  5. Deliver cost and performance; complete projects & assignments on-time, and according to plan.
  6. Performs administrative reporting for operation in SAP environment.
  7. Manage budgetary responsibilities for the department.
  8. Capital project development and management.
  9. Develop production team using best practice methods.
  10. Manage employee related issues within the department. Effectively manage departmental staffing requirements in accordance to budgetary and contractual requirements.
  11. Communicate goals and objectives, apply company policy, coach, administer discipline, and ensure positive employee relations. Build bench strength through active development of direct reports.

  • Exposure to industrial maintenance environment
  • Participate in Six Sigma processes improvement
  • This is a second shift position with a start time of 12:00 noon
  • Relocation is available for this role

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree from accredited University in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or other relevant majors
  • 5 years of manufacturing/production scheduling experience
  • 5 years supervisory experience
