Summary:

The May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Randolph is currently seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to provide active consultation for 20-25 hours a week within a school based setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assessing individuals and developing formal programs to address physical concerns including:
    • neuromuscular status: muscle tone, range of motion, strength and endurance
    • balance, coordination, and mobility
    • motor planning and function 
  • Providing consultative services to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Developing adaptive strategies and methods for implementation of gross motor participation
  • Providing formal and informal training to staff
  • Attending IEP and team meetings
  • Restoring, maintaining, and promoting physical activity and overall health
  • Collaborating with clinical team and other professional caregivers
Qualifications:
  • Appropriate certification in Physical Therapy
  • National and state certification required
  • Experience in working with children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder is desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
