Audio Visual Technician
Seeking to fill a full-time Audio-Visual Technician / Installer position in the Belton -Fort Hood - Waco Area. The Technician / Installer will be responsible for assembly, installing, integrating and providing service / repair services for voice, video, and data communications systems in accordance with proposal specifications and blueprint design to include structured cablings, Video-Teleconferencing Equipment, Control Systems (AMX, Creston), Matrix Switching, screens, displays, rack building, sounds systems, digital signage etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* The ability to safely use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
* Ability to solder and crimp connectors.
* Assist with and perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
* Comprehension of engineering drawings, wiring drawings and audio/video flow is necessary.
* Duties may include but are not limited to: Pulling cable, installing connectors, projector / screen / large display mounting/hanging and metal fabrication.
* Perform installations of 70.7 volt and distributed sound systems, projectors and screen support structures, ceiling and wall-mounted speaker systems.
* Correctly install rack wiring.
* Deliver equipment with associated responsibilities
* This person should be able to be independent, but also follow supervisory direction and be able to interact with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner. Observations by supervisors and peers will have a direct correlation to advancement success.
* Cisco and Tandberg VTC Telepresence technologies in Enterprise and secure VTC architectures; Audio-Visual integration expertise (e.g. Extron devices and Clear One audio technologies); and associated Audio/Visual (A/V) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) components.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
* CTS, CTS-I Certifications; Manufacturer Certifications
* Knowledge and integration / installation experience with AMX & Creston Control systems; Cisco VTC, Kramer, Extron, BIAMP, and Clear One.
* You must be authorized to work in the United States, posses a valid Texas driver's license, and pass a background check / drug screening.
