Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. a diversified agri-business and transportation company is looking for a highly motivated individual to work as the Soy Plant Operator. In this forward moving company, the Soy Plant Operator will have the opportunity to learn a new trade, and would be responsible for monitoring and operating ZFS’s technologically advanced soy plant, assuring the success of the company as a valued member of our team. With the opportunity to be involved in the rewarding industry of 21st century agriculture, the Operator would be responsible for the following duties:
Not a 9-5 type of person with just 2 days a week off? No problem. This job allows for an average rotation of 7 days on, 7 days off in a two week period. 5PM to 5AM Rotation - Candidate will be trained on first shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Physically monitor process temperatures, pressures, material flows and levels to evaluate process operations.
- Follow all procedures and policies to meet the requirements of CERT-ID EU non-GMO certification.
- Monitor process results and make the necessary physical adjustments to meet desired operating parameters
- Take the necessary steps to correct operations when running outside of the desired parameters.
- Notify plant manager/supervisor of operational or equipment problems.
- Maintain logs of instrument readings observed during hourly rounds.
- Take samples, analyze for product quality and record resulting test data.
- Observe all plant and safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Previous experience is highly desired.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Hours: 5PM to 5AM Rotation- candidate will be trained on first shift.
Rate: $14.50 and up depending upon qualifications
