RN Lactation Counselor Mother Baby Health

One of the top medical centers in Northern California is now hiring a compassionate, caring Mother Baby Clinical Nurse Lactation Consultant to help change the face of their renown postnatal care.

The Mother Baby Consultant will work with a fully interdisciplinary team on education initiatives, plan-of-action care strategies and best-practice policies to implement and improve the Baby Friendly environment.

The RN Lactation Consultant will work within the Well Mother / Well Baby department to provide a constant, supportive network in conjunction with the rest of the Postpartum team and assist in the development and production of educational materials that support breastfeeding and newborn health.

In collaboration with the Director of Labor and Delivery and the Unit Educator for Mother Baby, the IBCLC Lactation Consultant will work to help develop and promote Baby Friendly ideals including first-latch, latch techniques, inspiration and informative instruction to first-time mothers during the hours and days postpartum.
