Director of Cardiac Cath Lab

A hospital with one of the best heart programs in central Washington is in need of a Director of Catheterization Lab. This hospital specializes in diagnosing and treating heart and vascular disease, so the Cath Lab is one of the most important departments of this medical center, and the Cath Lab Director is a particularly respected hospital administrator.

The Director of Cardiac Cath Lab Services will oversee 40 FTEs, including a Nurse Manager, and several lab techs and nurses. The position reports directly to the CNO of the hospital. The Director is responsible for hiring, training, and managing staff. Previous management experience is a necessity, as is experience with financial budgeting.

The Department consists of 5 cardiac catherization labs, with 2 of these labs being equipped for electrophysiology. Over 15 highly competent cardiologists work in the cath labs. The cath lab is equipped to handle a number of minimally invasive treatments, including:

• Coronary Stents
• Balloon Angioplasty
• Pacemaker
• Intra-aortic balloon pump
• Internal Cardiac Defibrillators
• Intravascular Ultrasound

This 175-bed hospital is far from limited to only providing top heart care. It has a full-services emergency department, offers a wide range of surgical services, provides joint replacement, and contains a certified Stroke Center. The hospital has a long tradition in the community, but the facilities are new so that the Medical Center has some of the most advanced technologies available.
