Senior Surgery Physician Assistant - Full-time / Part-time

A large not-for-profit hospital in Maryland is searching for an experienced and dedicated Surgery Physician to oversee the PA program in the OR.

The Department of Surgery is busy, with 15 OR’s plus endoscopy suites on site. The hospital performs around 15k procedures per year in nearly all specialties. Their major service lines include ortho, general, OB/GYN, ENT, Neuro, Vascular and Eyes.

The PA Manager will be responsible for a large team of surgery PA’s, with direct supervision of around 18 PA’s. Administrative responsibilities include making the PA schedule/staffing, assigning cases, hiring and counseling of employees and policy and procedure. In addition, the Senior Physician Assistant will ensure high quality of clinical outcomes and develop strong physician relationships within the department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong surgery background as a PA. In addition, as this is a leadership position, some experience in a coordinator or senior position is preferred.
