Surgical Services Nurse Director

A Nurse Director of Surgical Services position is now open at a 70 bed non-profit hospital located in New Mexico. This acute care medical center is quickly expanding their surgical offerings. This medical center has partnered with leading physicians to keep their recently expanded Surgery Department busy.

The Nurse Director of Perioperative Services will report to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Surgery Nurse Director will oversee a dynamic department that recently expanded from two operating rooms to four operating rooms with two separate procedures rooms. Hiring new OR, OR Circulators, PACU/Pre-op staff nurses will be a big part of the first few months in this position.

This hospital prides itself on staying up to date with the latest medical technologies. Utilizing robotic assisted surgeries sets this surgical team apart from surrounding hospitals. The OR / PACU / Pre-Op Nurse Director will supervise both the inpatient and outpatient surgery departments. Surgical offerings provided by this hospital include: orthopedics (including total joint), general surgery, podiatry, ophthalmology, pediatric dental, urology, Ear/Nose/Throat, and Endoscopy.

This hospital offers outpatient rehabilitation services in a newly built rehab wing of the hospital. The Nurse Director of Surgical Services will be able to confidently offer comprehensive care for any patient that walks in their door.
