We’re in search of a Sr. Product Research Analyst to join our team.  You will be empowered to develop and maintain UnitedHealthcare policies, cultivate new project initiatives, monitor and research third party sources to ensure UnitedHealthcare’ s alignment and identify potential reimbursement opportunities. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Interfacing with UnitedHealthcare Reimbursement Policy managers to research and develop proposed reimbursement policies for UHC and ensure accurate and timely implementation of adopted policies
Researching and documenting the impact of new, changed and deleted codes to UHC reimbursement policies
Providing coding and reimbursement policy expertise to UHC departments
Ensuring claims are handled in proper accordance with policies
Review and analysis of third party publications and resources regarding reimbursement and coding standards
Review of other UnitedHealthcare policies / protocols for potential opportunities
Create and/or maintain materials owned within the department
Demonstrated ability to work across multifunctional teams
Review the work of others
Develop innovative approaches
 

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED
BS Degree or equivalent work experience
Certified coder via AHIMA or AAPC, or RN  
Knowledge of physician coding methodologies including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10
3+ years of experience researching Medicaid / Medicare regulations.
Intermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Experience leading and facilitating virtual meetings
Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers
Must be able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Must be able to perform most tasks with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:

Medicare reimbursement policy experience
Experience working with Healthcare Billing Practices / Physician Claims
2+ years of Project Management experience
Familiarity with the LEAN process and leading process improvements
Experience using SharePoint
