Faro Arm Inspector is responsible for performing critical inspections on manufactured items The tools used for these inspections will be digital CMM / Faro Arm, Plate Inspection, Mylar's and traditional mechanical inspection tools. It is important that the Faro Arm Inspector be able to perform diligent, careful inspections with efficiency. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications for this position include:

* 3 Years minimum experience in Aerospace Quality Inspection using FARO ARM, Mylar's and doing Plate Inspections.

* Expert in the set-up of Aerospace structure parts for inspection to Mylar's and FARO ARM
* Expert in the use of PolyWorks and Verisurf software with FARO ARM with the ability to create and export inspection reports.

* Expert with DPD/MPD data
* Complete, In-depth understanding of ANSY Y14.5 and GD&T engineering drawings.
* Strong experience with mechanical inspection equipment.
* Familiarity of the AS9100C quality assurance system.
* Experience performing full set-ups, and inspection on parts holding tolerances as tight as +/- .0001"
* Ability to communicate application status both to department team to shop level associates, in terms of application status, issues, and requirements.

* Strong work ethic.
* Strong trouble-shooting skills and the ability to think critically.
* Must be able to work independently, but also demonstrate an ability to work productively within the department team.
* Ability to perform First Article, In Process, and Final Inspection per Aerospace industry requirements.
* In-depth understanding of mechanical drawings to ANSI Y14.5 requirements.
* In-depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
