SafeSplash Swim School has immediate openings for a Lifeguards, Swim Instructors and Deck Supervisors! Come work in a fun, aquatic environment teaching swimming lessons with ages 3 and up...

Lifeguard and Deck Supervisor The lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and students in and around the pool area and preventing and responding to emergencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): * Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency. * Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. * Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. * Performs various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. * Prepares and maintains appropriate incident reports. * Do not leave the pool unsupervised. If you need to leave the deck make sure the deck supervisor takes over the lifeguard position. Which means you cannot leave the deck while the Deck Supervisor is calling the next classes.

Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications and Requirements:

* Previous lifeguard experience is required * CPR, First Aid certification required * Lifeguard certification preferred

 

Swim Instructor

SafeSplash Swim Instructors are responsible for upholding and teaching in accordance to the SafeSplash Swim School teaching curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • The main focus of a swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance to SafeSplash curriculum in a fun, positive manor.
  • Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and parents on their swimming efforts.
  • Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills.
  • Ensure swimmer safety.
  • Maintain proper equipment and time organization to ensure timely class start and end times.
  • Provide management with class information (ribbons, student changes, etc.) to keep proper class organization.
  • Provide parents with monthly, individualized feedback on swimmers during splash n' tell week.
  • Required to maintain proper SafeSplash uniform standards outlined in the employee handbook.

Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements Required: Previous swim instruction experience Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for Adult, Child and Infant required within first 90 days of employment (we can provide the class) Complete training in the SafeSplash curriculum within the first 30 days of employment Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight Strongly Preferred: WSI certification
