Food Prep/Cook/Dishwasher - Downtown Nashville, TN

Sunoco/ APlus Convenience Stores is in the process of interviewing candidates for Food Service Associate in downtown Nashville,TN. This position will report directly to the Restaurant Manager.

We have part-time/full-time openings for a Food Service Associate.

Must be able to work various shifts per week and be available weekdays and weekends.

Some areas of responsibility include:

• The Food Service Associate is a key employee whose actions have a direct effect on the food quality for our customers and the resultant profitability of our stores.
• This position is responsible to provide food service that meets company standards for ingredient quantity, quality, safety and consistency-fast, friendly and delicious.
• Provides Sunoco Friendly customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to customer inquiries and concerns.
• Serves customers by maintaining our Sunoco Friendly philosophy, supported by a value proposition that every experience will be fast, friendly and delicious.
• Maintains knowledge of all product offerings and promotions.
• Supports advertising campaigns and sales promotions, and prepares food displays.
• Monitors foods activities to ensure that customers receive exceptional customer service.
• Maintains 100% in store efficiency on top selling menu items.
• Examines food products to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed.
• Prepares and cooks foods for a Sunoco affiliated store (Laredo Taco, etc).
• Prepares food items per required menus and recipes.
• Follows necessary steps to insure timely preparation of food items.
• Maintains current Food Handler certification as required by county.
• Maintains sanitary conditions in all food preparation areas.
• Monitors food storage units to insure safe temperatures.
• Consistently monitors the coffee and food bars for cleanliness and in-stocks.
• Receives products from vendors following correct procedures.
• Accurately records bad merchandise per company policy.
• Complies with food and store safety programs and behaviors to minimize employee injury, including proper handling procedures and temperature requirements.
• Follows company dress code standards as specified for food service personnel.
• Assists in maintaining store equipment: preventive maintenance, cleaning, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Wage: $10.00 - $12.00 DOE
