Income Tax Staff Accountant

A successful Income Tax Staff Accountant will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus one to three years of corporate income tax experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA and/or Big 4 experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of CorpTax is preferred. Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fluid atmosphere, handle multiple projects and set priorities.

The Income Tax Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation and analysis of various income tax projects related to compliance, audit defense, tax planning and other miscellaneous assignments. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns.
• Assist with calculations of estimated tax payments.
• Assist with tax audits and various controversy matters.
• Research technical tax issues and prepare technical memoranda or update documentation in supporting workpapers.
• Assist with calculations for the quarterly and year-end tax provision.
• Collaborate with accounting, legal and other tax departments to accomplish assigned objectives. Partner with outsite tax consultants on various projects, as assigned.
