Valve Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Description:

Valve Technicians are responsible for installing, repairing, replacing and servicing large industrial sized valves for clients throughout the region. Projects will consist of 1-2 weeks travel at a time.

Responsibilities:

• Uses hand tools, portable tools, hoists and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies
• Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements
• Requires help from supervisors or others to complete tasks
• Complete understanding of the job, company policies and processes
• May operate specialized equipment and/or understand complex drawings and diagrams
• Maintains technical certificates as required
• Work requires planning and judgment
• Analysis and actions require instruction from higher levels
• Serves as a team member
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 5+ years of mechanic experience
• 2+ years of industrial manufacturing experience
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic parts
• Interpret mechanical schematics/blueprints
