Description:
Valve Technicians are responsible for installing, repairing, replacing and servicing large industrial sized valves for clients throughout the region. Projects will consist of 1-2 weeks travel at a time.
Responsibilities:
- Uses hand tools, portable tools, hoists and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies
- Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements; repairing units or products that have failed to meet requirements
- Requires help from supervisors or others to complete tasks
- Complete understanding of the job, company policies and processes
- May operate specialized equipment and/or understand complex drawings and diagrams
- Maintains technical certificates as required
- Work requires planning and judgment
- Analysis and actions require instruction from higher levels
- Serves as a team member
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ years of mechanic experience
- 2+ years of industrial manufacturing experience
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic parts
- Interpret mechanical schematics/blueprints
