The Transactions Operations Manager position oversees the intake functions for Subrogation department ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming correspondence and checks received via mail, faxes and electronic. Primary Responsibilities: Manage staff of Inventory Control Associates (ICAs) in day to day transactions functions of receiving and processing incoming correspondence and checks.  Ensure all correspondence is accurately tracked and processed in accordance with SLAEnsure functional task production metrics are aligned Ensure staff is held accountable to quality and production metricsProvide team direction and ensure workloads are being managed effectively Ensure staff is achieving goals and metrics as assigned Participation in interviewing, hiring, training and evaluations of staff Act as a resource to the staff regarding questions or issues as they arise Participate in ongoing training and development in order to provide direction and support to the team Provide updates to management team regarding team’s performance as well as any issues that arise Works closely with peers and leadership to build new operational components of this area and set the strategic direction of the teamAbility to discuss and present on decisions made to appropriate internal and external individuals/groups Coordinates work activities with othersIdentifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgmentAdapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challengesAble to represent components of  the Subrogation department to inter-departmental personnel and matrix partnersDevelops and communicates rational for decisions made Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: HIPAA, CMS, and State Specific RegulationsDevelops and leads projects that drive process improvementsManages 15 - 20 direct reports

Requirements

Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR HSD/GED with 5+ years of management experience 3+ years of management experience utilizing production metrics to monitor performanceAbility to create simple formulas, edit and create spreadsheets in MS ExcelAbility to create and edit professional documents and letters in MS WordAbility to create and edit professional slide show presentations on MS PowerPointExperience navigating and creating emails and calendar invitations in MS Outlook Soft Skills: Detail-oriented with strong organizational, and customer service skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrentlyExcellent communication skills both oral and written with strong presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as to collaborate with cross-functional teamsAbility to assess and identify needs proactivelyOpen to change and new information; ability to adapt behavior and work methods to changing organization and integrate best practices into the subrogation recovery process Take the next step, online at: www.yourlifesbestwork.comCareers with Optum.
