About this job
Assists physician with patients, exams and patient counseling. Records patient history, obtains and documents vital signs and performs EKGs. Ensures smooth and efficient patient flow. Conveys positive image of clinic. May be assigned to specific medical specialty to help with patient care related to that specialty.
Qualifications
Float Medical Assistant
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: 1 year of medical office experience.
LICENSE/CERT/REG: Current CPR Certification. Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
SKILLS: Written and verbal medical terminology skills. Basic computer skills. Good phlebotomy skills. Ability to distinguish emergency patient situations. Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately. Exercises discretion and integrity when dealing with confidential material.
