Position is located near Melville, NY 11747.
Hardware distributor for the construction industry is currently seeking a Project Estimator.
Our client is seeking a Project Estimator who has a strong work ethic to identify and quantify cost factors and to recommend ways to make projects more cost-effective.
Other requirements:
Hours: Mon - Fri 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Our client is seeking a Project Estimator who has a strong work ethic to identify and quantify cost factors and to recommend ways to make projects more cost-effective.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment and labor expenses
- Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates
- Evaluate a projects cost effectiveness or profitability
- Recommend ways to make a project more cost effective or profitable
- Examine project specifications to ensure all aspects of the project specifications are incorporated into the project estimate
- Develop project plans for the duration of the project
- Preparation of bill of materials associated with project estimates
Other requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Computer savvy; proficient with MS Office Suite
Hours: Mon - Fri 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
