Mortgage lender near Great Neck, NY seeks an experienced Underwriter with residential loans experience.
*** The successful candidate must have experience with residential mortgages. Minimum 5-8 years’ experience required. ***
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Direct hire position; salary commensurate with experience

Job Requirements:
- The Underwriter must have a comprehensive knowledge of residential loan program guidelines and have a thorough understanding of automated underwriting engines
- Special care to review cash, income, credit and property issues must be taken
- Solid Time Management skills and the ability to organize prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- High level of proficiency with mortgage loan processing and underwriting systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Acute attention to detail
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with staff and branch personnel
