Providence is calling a Per Diem, Night Shift Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Float Pool Nurse at the Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA.
In this position you will:
* Be clinically competent to float to specified areas in the acute care, critical care patient settings
* Units which include Post Anesthesia Care (PACU), Critical Care Pavilions (CCP) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
* This role may include floating to more than one specified area during the shift.
* The CCFP Registered Nurse is highly skilled and experienced, demonstrating competencies in multiple clinical areas while being highly adaptable to changing priorities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
* Two (2) or more years recent Registered Nurse experience (in the past three years) in Critical Care Unit or settings requiring consistent management of hemodynamically unstable patients and exposure to deteriorating patients.
* Current California Registered Nurse License
* Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers (ACLS-HCP) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
* NIHSS Certification - Required within 60 days of hire for the Critical Care Float Pool.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Bachelors in Science Nursing
* Three (3) or more years of experience working in a Critical Care Unit
* Experience working in a variety of Critical Care Settings including inpatients
* PALS Certification
* CCRN or related specialty care area certification
