The Lead Business Intelligence Specialist must have a great passion for data and analytics. Functioning as part of an agile, creative, and resourceful team, this role will work closely with all business units to understand the business, data, and analytic needs in order to develop, execute and support planning reporting and analysis solutions.  A key for success in this role is a unique blend of technical skills, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
 
Key Responsibilities\:
 
  • Develops and executes planning, reporting and analysis solutions in support of business processes including gathering business requirements and performing business analysis enabling solution recommendations and prototyping
  • Performs system administration and security activities for business intelligence systems and assures data integrity across systems
  • Partners with IT team for troubleshooting issues, testing system upgrades and system enhancements including writing and completing test plans and documentation
  • Serves as system and reporting expert for business partners by providing user support and best practices for developed solutions
  • Acts as a mentor to lower level specialists providing guidance and direction; reviews and approves more complex decisions
Qualification:
Education\: Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
 
Years of Related Experience\: 8+ years related work experience.
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\: 
  • Consumer Packaged Goods industry and SAP preferred
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Power Point,), SAP Business Planning & Consolidations, JDA, Bex, and/or SAP Business Objects skills and experience preferred
  • Strong analytical abilities as well as experience in large scale information, data and/or reporting projects
  • Database understanding skills
  • Strong organizational abilities, proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong business knowledge and problem-solving skills; excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to communicate to multiple levels internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to provide assistance with mentoring and/or evaluation of more junior staff
