St. Francis Hospital is a 134-bed community hospital and part of CHI Franciscan Health. Nationally recognized for excellence, St. Francis' on-site specialties include 24/7 emergency services, a family birth center, diagnostic imaging and much more. St. Francis has consistently been named among the Top 100 Hospitals nationwide, and is recognized as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.

Critical Care at St. Francis includes a 14-bed medical/surgical intensive care unit and a 16-bed progressive care unit. In the ICU, we take care of patients who've experienced cardiac arrest, hypothermia and sepsis. In the PCU, we have a varied medical/surgical population of cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, bariatric and sepsis patients. Our ICU registered nurses provide primary care and we have an RN to patient ratio of 2:1. The PCU has an RN to patient ratio of 4:1. We have a total of 75 team members that include RNs, an RN Educator, health unit coordinators and care assistants. We offer new nursing residencies on a year-round basis.

Job Summary:

You will provide deliver care to patients in ICU who've experienced cardiac arrest, hypothermia and sepsis. In PCU you will deliver care to a varied medical/surgical population of cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, bariatric, and sepsis patients. Implementing and assessing the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams and the patient and family.

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

* One year of related work experience is preferred

* Current WA state Licensure as a Registered Nurse

* Current CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse), CSC (Cardiac Surgery) Certification preferred

* Healthcare Basic Life Support certification required

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or attainment within six months of hire
