JOB LOCATION: Media PA
HOUR COMMITMENT: February - May (16-30 hours) & June - August (37.5 hours) Monday - Friday (weekly)
The Fuel Equipment Intern will support the Fuel Equipment and Compliance Service Quality Manager by completing project work and administrative activities that develops Wawa's Fuel Equipment corrosion prevention plan. This project will entail travelling to various store sites and inspecting the fuel pumps for surface corrosion. Evaluate the results and assist with the creation and implementation of a preventative plan after evaluating results of various options. Create a test schedule with vendor and analyze data to provide estimation of when fuel equipment need to be resurfaced.
Principal Duties:
- Review commercially available corrosion preventative product specifications and develop scientific test procedures to determine the viability of each.
- Assist with site selection and test criteria development for various microbial growth inhibitors test program. Travel to various store sites and inspect the fuel pumps for corrosion and document accordingly.
- Assist with reviewing and summarizing test results and developing management level presentations.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned.

- Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Studies or related discipline
- Basic knowledge of chemistry
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel
