POSITION TIMELINE: March - November 2017

JOB LOCATION: Media PA

HOUR COMMITMENT: Minimum 15 hours during Spring and Fall timeframe and a maximum of 37.5 hours during Summer

WORKWEEK: Monday - Friday

The Finance Planning & Analysis Intern will be responsible for assisting in the reporting of store operations financial results related to sales, COGS (cost of goods sold), labor, fuel, and approved corporate projects. In addition, the intern will help provide ad-hoc analysis on past performance and future initiatives across all departments.

Principal Duties:

  1. Prepare weekly/monthly reporting functions in support of selected business units including: corporate administrative departments monthly spend, store labor overtime usage, Store Operations financial results, and budget vs. actual reporting.
  2. Prepare ad-hoc detailed analysis for administrative departments focusing on providing valuable and actionable information on business opportunities or issues.
  3. Streamline current reporting model leading to improved efficiency and value along with any recommendations for areas of focus.
  4. Manage the project application process for selected programs, working with various cross-functional departments to ensure that applications are accurate and approved in a timely manner.
  5. Work cross functionally with Supply Chain, Marketing, Real Estate, Fuel and Corporate Finance to support corporate profitability and new initiatives.
  6. Develop and maintain transition materials including detailed description and directions of co-op tasks, organizational charts, contact lists, and system overviews.

Basic Qualifications:
  1. Actively pursuing a Bachelors in accounting or finance at an accredited college or university preferred
  2. Experience with SAP or other database systems preferred
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
  4. Working knowledge of Excel
