About this job
* This is a seasonal/temporary position within Life Time.
Do you have a passion for Swimming and living a healthy way of life? We are looking for a passionate Swim Supervisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and will help members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. A typical day for a Swim Supervisor could include:
* Scheduling, evaluating, and assisting Swim Instructors during lessons
* Registering Members for Swim Programs including Lessons, Swim Team
and Masters Swim
* Maintaining the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities
Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensures Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment
for the Members
* Assists in responding to Member inquiries regarding Life Time programs,
products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely
manner
* Assists in ensuring the teaching of new skills in a fun, enthusiastic
environment
* Connects members to the correct program that fits their area of passion
* Promotes Life Time swim classes and makes appropriate class level
recommendations
* Assists in managing & supporting all Aquatics Department Team Members
* Completes and documents daily inspections to ensure pool area
cleanliness and safety
* Assists in training team members through shadowing, direction and
feedback
* Immediately reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse
relating to youth
Education & Experience
* Some college, or working towards a four year degree
* 6 months of customer service experience
* 1 year coaching and/or swim instructor experience
* 1 year lifeguarding experience
* 6 months of head guard or supervising experience
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations
* Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid certification
* NSPF Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred
* Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) preferred
* Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) preferred
* Successfully complete and pass the Life Time Swim School Certification
* Successfully complete and pass Swim Supervisor Training
* CPR/AED certification required within the first 3 months of hire
