Injection Molding Operator
 

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform all Operator functions of the Injection Molding Machines, Decorating Machines, and Auxiliary Equipment.
  • Perform routine operation including, start-up, shutdown, troubleshoot operation problems and quality related issues on the following equipment:
  • Perform label and wire changes on handle equipment, purging of molding machine, correct parameter adjustments on decorating and molding equipment.
  • Adjust equipment based on quality inspection of parts.
  • 5S organization procedures at all times.
  • Direct the work of all Temporary Employees and working on your lines.  Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping practices, at all times.  Schedule their break time and work rotation.
  • Monitor and control the quality of all finished parts.  Perform quality inspections of molded and decorated partsincluding but not limited to the following:
  • Properly complete operator quality, operator downtime tracking, production tags for finished parts.
  • Properly complete all safety, 5’s, and other job related paperwork.
  • Enter data into SAP and Database tracking systems.
  • Attend required on-the-job training, safety and staff meeting:
  • Assist with training of new Injection Molding Operators.
  • Perform other related duties as determined by management.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Must continuously follow all safety policies and procedures on the job.

 

 Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with injection molding equipment.
  • Must successfully complete the required training in the allotted time.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate multiple lines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety procedures pertaining to the general operator.
  • Elementary mechanical aptitude with the ability to make adjustments to machines.
  • Elementary mathematical aptitude (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Must have an awareness of GMP’s to ensure hygienic security of components.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • For safety and business purposes, must have effective communication skills including reading and writing. Must be able to communicate to others, as well as be able to receive communication from others.
