Reports to: Quality Manager

Shift: 2nd* Hours: 145pm-1015pm* Days: M-F*

* Overtime and shift flexibility as deemed necessary by the QA department.

Quality Assurance Technician

* Ensure plant compliance with all Nestle Hygiene, HACCP, Sanitation and GMP requirements

* Every member of this facility has a responsibility for assuring the manufacture of safe holism food products that meet the expectations of our customers and all regulatory agencies. All members of the Leadership Team has responsibilities for FSMS audit criteria and as such are committed to continuous improvement in the areas of quality and food safety.

Primary Activities

* Sensory -- setting up finished product and odor panels by pulling samples from process and line in accordance with Sensory Program

* Microbiology- understanding program and being responsible for plating samples for HPC, Coliform, Pseudomones and Yeast and Mold

* Pulling samples from process and city lines for plating and sending to 3rd party labs

* Reading the results of the plating and performing confirmation tests when required for E-Coli and positive tests for Coliform and Pseudomonis

* Understanding and performing calibrations on Measuring and Monitoring Equipment --Equipment such as Ozone sensors and meters for such tests as PH, conductivity, TDS and turbidity

* Monitoring the quality of the product on 2nd shift, by line releases, duplicate checks and incident reports

* Water Treatment testing on incoming water from city and springs

* Customer Complaint Testing and Troubleshooting

* Testing and verifying equipment used for water treatment on city lines and process lines

* Performing CIP Activities
