Reporting to the Director of PMO, the IT Project Manager is responsible for strategic planning, effective project execution and managing the delivery of our most strategic initiatives. This role focuses on strategically partnering with key business partners to design and implement projects according to an approved roadmap. These projects will deliver strategic value to the business. Projects are completed on time, within budget, with agreed upon functionality, while driving business value and end-user satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

* Manages one large highly complex program or multiple complex projects that will impact a wide band of the company. Projects have a direct impact on the company's business and financial goals including sales, margin and external customer satisfaction.

* Partners with the Business customer to ensure clear understanding of customer expectations and project scope, ensures IT core team understands project scope and requirement priorities; establishes clear deliverables and expectations for the project.

* Partners with IT and Business organizations to ensure necessary organizational change activities are being executed in support of the project; communications, training, etc.

* Works with IT core team members and Business leads to create an integrated project plan and schedule to deliver the project; ensures tasks and responsibilities are assigned.

* Partners with other IT leaders to identify cross project dependencies, works within IT to actively manage cross project risks.

* Actively manages project issues, escalating issues and risks to management; leads project team to provide advice and to resolve problems; partners with IT management to ensure issues are known and managed within the correct area of accountability.

* Prepares and delivers project reports for management, customer, or others; using relevant metrics for management decision making; constantly evaluates the project's ability to meet its objectives and modifies or reschedules project plans as required.

* Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

* Ensures deployment and production support plans are understood by IT teams and business teams to ensure a comprehensive supported solution is delivered with minimal disruption to day to day activities.

* Recruit, train and motivate a collaborative cross-functional team for the project duration, representing all impacted functions of the business. Establish work plan and staffing for each stage of the project.

* Manages cross functional, cross organizational teams, including external vendors; effectively demonstrates leadership and communications across organizations for the common delivery of the project.

* Actively manages and is accountable for managing the program / project budget. Ensures budget / actuals are reported according to necessary schedules, and funding modifications are approved and documented; ensures project progress is consistent with project budget spending; partners with IT finance team to ensure project financials are current.

* Facilitates vendor selection process, for IT HW, SW, and resources, ensuring final decisions are maintained within functional areas of accountability; partners with leadership to follow internal contracting processes.

* Utilizes the IT project management framework for delivering projects; acts as a leader for Project Management within the IT organization; champions the PM processes, provides support to continuously develop and grow project management knowledge within the IT and PMO organization; provides mentoring to junior PMs within the IT organization.

Qualifications:

* System Knowledge Preferred; Warehouse Management System, Transportation Management System, Oracle Store Inventory Management (SIM), supply chain related EDI; HighJump Warehouse Advantage/Warehouse Management System (HJ/WA/WMS), Oracle RMS, Mercury Gate TMS, integration software (MuleSoft preferred), warehouse control systems (Dematic preferred), and distributed order management systems.

* Business Process Knowledge Preferred; Supply Chain operations in a retail environment, including: Distribution Center cross-dock and warehouse operations, Supply Chain Reporting/KPIs, Vendor Compliance, Inventory Management, Transportation Management, and multi-channel fulfillment.

* BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field required. MBA preferred. 10+ years business experience required in an enterprise level organization. 7+ years of highly complex project management experience required.

* PMP or other project management certification desired. Required knowledge of business process development methods. Required knowledge of IS SDLC processes and procedures.

* Must be proficient in leading People, Process, Technology change. Must demonstrate proficiency in project management discipline and software tools required to execute the responsibilities of the position.

* Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal relations skills required.
