About this job
To assist the furnace operator, including filling in as needed or directed
Assist in the proper procedures of charging, mixing, tapping and mud outs of furnace; flipping, stacking, weighing sows and setting up of tapping area.
To follow the proper procedures of marking numbers and MDC codes on sows and samples; emptying and weighing of mud buckets and adding lime to the lime feeder
When needed, to know the proper procedures for filling out furnace, flux usage, mud weight and lime sheets
To assist in skimming sows; dumping, weighing and marking sows; taking samples from each sow; dumping salt cake and barrels and unloading trailers of materials.
Will be using front end loader and excavator.
Must be open to all shifts. Shift rotates from days to nights.
