Edible Louisville & The Bluegrass Region is seeking a dedicated media advertising Sales Representative. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a successful sales background and someone who shares our vision of building a strong local food, beverage, and business economy.

We offer 20 percent commission (with an expense allowance) and an established client list. We seek someone interested in not only maintaining established accounts, but is enthusiastic about growing our magazine. Compensation is based on established accounts, with a goal of $25,000 in new sales. This is a part-time position with a minimum of 24+ hours per week.

The candidate will work with a flexible schedule as an independent contractor and is  responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle - from the initial call to closing and coordinating the receipt of ad materials.

Qualifications:

* Sales experience (media sales a plus).

* Cold calling expertise.

* Solid presentation skills.

* Self-starter and entrepreneurial in spirit.

* Ability to build relationships effectively.

* Able to work independently in a home office.

* Computer proficient with a broadband internet connection.

* Able to complete reports to update the publisher/editor on account activity and emerging new opportunities.
