PURPOSE

This position is responsible for the day-to-day project workflow for new stores, existing store remodels, and/or existing store department resets. Typical duties include project planning, developing, implementing approved sets, collaborating with project manager and store team members, and monitoring progress toward project achievement and completion.

Merchandising
  • Responsible for setting new stores, existing store remodels, and/or existing store department resets and ensuring merchandising standards are being followed per the Merchandising Standards Guide
  • Responsible for assisting with new fixture implementation
  • Ensure POP signage, price signs, and all other visual merchandising standards are met according to the Merchandising Standards Guide
  • Ensure proper safety and operational standards are met as the project is being set
Finance & Accounting
  • The fiscal responsibilities of the Project Specialist includes carrying out and managing project budgets and following through with vendor contracts under general direction of the Project Manager
  • Complete duties drawing from a working knowledge of P&Ls and cost-to-completion projections
Administration
  • Execute timelines to complete projects and communicate these to the project manager
Job Requirements

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Advertising (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)
  • Three years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Prior experience working in a retail environment and department merchandising strongly preferred
  • Proven problem-solving and team building skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)
  • This position is non-exempt, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
  • Some travel required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate
