Objective:
  • The Director of CAREGiver Services is responsible for successfully performing all of the managerial duties of the Franchise Owner.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reflect the core values of Home Instead Senior Care
  • Develop, execute and analyze the annual operational plan and present to the Franchise Owner
  • Achieve the annual operational plan’s revenues, gross profit and profitability objectives
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with referral sources in the community  
  • Coordinates activities of departments such as finance, staff coordinators, recruiting and retention of CAREGivers, client services and networking to affect operational efficiency and economy.
  • Analyze budget to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocate operating budget.
  • Confers with departments and review activities and operations to determine changes in programs or operations.
  • Directs preparation of directives outlining policy, program or operations changes to be implemented.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, co-workers and CAREGivers.
 
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Supplement the duties outlined in the Staff Coordinator job description
  • Supplement the duties outlined in the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator job description
  • Supplement the duties outlined in the Business Office Manager Job description
  • Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary or as assigned
 
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
 
Critical Numbers:
  • Increase CAREGiver utilization
  • Achieve acceptable PEAQ CG Satisfaction Scores
  • Increase client service hours monthly
  • Increase the number of CAREGivers attending company training

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position will be responsible for overseeing all of the functions performed by the office staff in Staffing, Human Resources, and the Business Office.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • This position must have an understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures established by operated Home Instead Senior Care
  • This position must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively
  • This position must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines
  • The ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • The ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work
  • The ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, the franchise owner, clients, CAREGivers and the community
  • The ability to sit at a desk and listen effectively for long periods of time on the telephone
  • The ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • The ability to operate office equipment 
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as required
  • Knowledge of the senior-care industry
  • Must be patient and congenial on the telephone 
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
  • The ability to work as a part of a team
  • The ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills
