Nurse Director of Critical Care Services

A 250- bed hospital located in the desirable and coastal Corpus Christi area is seeking a Clinical Nurse Director to oversee their Critical Care departments.

The ICU Director will oversee the 4 critical care units including Neurosurgical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Medical ICU and a Trauma ICU. The Director provides support and guidance to the nursing and ancillary staff. The Critical Care Service Line Nursing Director will have four direct report ICU Managers that provide daily oversight of each unit and support strategic short and long term goals of the department.

The Intensive Care Units care for adults with serious medical problems, have traumatic injuries, experienced heart attacks, chest pains or are in need of open-heart surgery. The hospital is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment to ensure the most comprehensive medical care.

The hospital is dedicated to providing care for the complete person and while medical attention is at the forefront of patient’s visits, the Critical Care Department offers mental and social support for patients and family. The Critical Care Director is responsible for ensuring that outcomes are achieved and operations run smoothly and effectively.

The Nurse Director ICU will be accountable for quality improvement initiatives and ensuring the standards of care are up to par with the beaming reputation of the hospital and its mission.
