Overview:

Siemens Industry is looking for a Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor for their Grand Prairie, TX location. This person will lead a team of maintenance technicians to maintain production lines and equipment in a way that: Ensures a safe workplace, Complies with established standards and procedures (e.g., cGMP and SOPs). Encourages growth and contributions by team members. Meets or exceeds business requirements, quality standards/cost, optimizes and improves the manufacturing process. This person will report to the Fabrication Manager and will have 7 direct reports.

Responsibilities:

Safety/Housekeeping: Ensure work areas comply with applicable standards (HSE, GMP, etc.), and that associates are working safely. Continuously monitor work areas; identify, resolve, and report safety hazards. Ensure materials are handled and disposed of properly, per HSE standards. Planning: Plan and schedule work activities based on production schedules and changing priorities. Monitor team progress versus objectives versus goals, and communicate results to Associates. Assist with planning and execution of maintenance activities during shutdown periods. Technical: Support production activities by maintaining and improving production facilities to meet/exceed production goals. Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory and quality standards (e.g, cGxP, SOPs). Oversee maintenance activities to identify and correct causes of equipment downtime. Audit lines and equipment, and troubleshoot problems with lines and equipment. Develop short-term resolutions to problems, and assist to identify systemic solutions to prevent problem recurrence. Lead team to troubleshoot problems and to identify and implement improvements to safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Track projects and activities, identify problems, initiate corrective actions, and escalate to Management as appropriate. Recommend/implement improvements to optimize use of labor, raw materials and equipment. Track, evaluate and report on maintenance activities, projects, and corrective actions. Team: Provide a positive work environment that engages associates and enables strong performance. Carry out HR activities such as performance appraisals, training, interviewing, counseling, and staff and resource utilization. Resolve complaints involving individuals or multiple associates. Act as a role model for company values and behaviors Interfaces: Coordinate with other departments to accomplish objectives. Facilitate smooth transition of information between shifts, including accurate and complete exchange of information to other shift teams and supporting departments

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors Degree in engineering or related.

2. Expert with TPM Systems.

3. Experience with Inventory systems.

4. Minimum of seven years previous experience of direct supervision in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

5. Working knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.

6. Experience with manufacturing facilities safety, environmental, quality, maintenance, and engineering.

7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

8. Proven ability to improve processes and provide/carry out cost reduction initiatives.

9. Proven ability to establish positive employee relations.

10. Demonstrated ability to operate within budget parameters including usage controls.

11. Experience implementing and leading continuous process improvements via disciplines such as Six Sigma/Lean/Visual Factory manufacturing environment.

12. Previous experience in supporting safety and environmental compliance.

13. Experience with continuous manufacturing processes.

14. Union experience highly preferred.
